Designing Employee Experience That Builds Belonging

Presentation
Culture isn't created through mission statements or occasional team events. It's shaped by the everyday experiences employees have with their leaders, colleagues, and the programs designed to support them.
In this session, Andrea Kaercher shares lessons learned from building the people operations infrastructure for a fully remote organization where culture could not rely on physical proximity or informal interactions. Without an office to reinforce connection, every recognition program, feedback process, communication practice, and employee touchpoint had to be intentionally designed.
Drawing on those experiences, attendees will explore how organizations can create meaningful employee experiences that strengthen belonging across remote, hybrid, and in-person work environments. The discussion will examine how recognition, feedback, communication, flexibility, and other elements of the employee experience work together to reinforce culture and support engagement.
Whether your workforce is fully remote, primarily office-based, or somewhere in between, participants will leave with practical ideas for designing intentional employee experiences that foster stronger connections, reinforce organizational values, and support long-term engagement.
